George learned the rudiments of voodoo from his granny as a child. As he grew up, he stopped believing in magic and voodoo, especially the elements of faith due to the Great War. He enrolled in New Stanford University studying psychology. He Participated in research there, but was expelled after unusual events at the school. He drifted across the west until returning home to New Orleans, where he buried himself in renewing his understanding of voodoo and delving into the occult, and taking over his granny’s voodoo shop. He also took up the name his granny calls him, Zulbaba, for his Houngan duties.
